Terrace Círculo del Liceo

I love the Círculo del Liceo, it is a british style privat club, founded in 1847, which is a point of reference for the social and cultural life in Barcelona and Catalunya.

As a member, I adore its events, parties, conferences and concerts. Every time I go, I discover something new to admire in its exuberant modernist decoration and its amazing artwork.

This month, they have reopened the beautiful terrace after two years of renovation.

The terrace is cozy, with nice views of the Ramblas and with a casual menu of tasty tapas.

We ordered the tuna salad, the nachos, the salmon wrap, and the truffle sandwich that I love it! All with a bottle of white wine.

It was a lovely night outdoors, with a soft breeze and a friendly service.

I will be back soon! Because it’s a nice and chic espace full of good energies!

One of the true pleasures of travelling is having the opportunity to discover the gastronomy of the country we are visiting. Eating out at a good restaurant in the city that I visit is a must for me when planning a trip and is a habit that has led me to discover incredible and magical places, such as the Mikla Restaurant in Istanbul.

In the course of my trip to the capital of Turkey last November, we decided to eat out at the Mikla restaurant, one of Istanbul’s finest, where we treated ourselves to incredible alternative cuisine on the top floor of the Marmara Pera hotel. We savoured the traditional Turkish dishes approached from a more modern and fresher angle with the New Anatolia concept in cuisine. A flexible, vivid and dynamic restaurant, whose menu is changed every day and always springs surprises.

We loved everything that the owner of the Mikla restaurant, chef Mehmet Gurs, proposed in his menu. Gurs has justifiably carried off several international cuisine accolades and has become a veritable culinary star in Istanbul. And the Mikla Restaurant has consolidated its status as one of the country’s foremost eateries. A unique establishment, frequented by clients from all over the world every day.

The Mikla Restaurant deserves a visit, not only for its gastronomy, but also for its ambience and decoration. It is a quiet place, with a laid-back and painstaking decoration and an outdoor pool An indispensable spot for lovers of fine-dining who also want to take in unique views, from Galata to the Topkapi Palace, all against a musical backdrop.

Restaurante Nobu Barcelona

Barcelona is a city that is full of life, crammed with stylish places to discover and an inspiration that surprises even those of us who actually live in the city and know it like the back of our hand.

As far as I am concerned, discovering the Nobu Barcelona restaurant was one such surprise that the city has for us, and turned out to be a marvellous experience for enjoying superb food and excellent company. Nobu is an internationally renowned and glamorous restaurant, owned, among other partners, by Robert de Niro, who also has other eateries in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and London, to name but some.

The Nobu Barcelona restaurant is located on the 23rd floor of the Nobu Hotel, in Avenida de Roma, number 2, next to the Sants Railway Station. Immediately on arriving I was stunned by the panoramic views of the city of Barcelona and the sea that serve as a backdrop for the space.

Foodwise, Nobu Barcelona’s menu was created by the prestigious chef Nobu Matsuhisa, who leverages his classic training in Tokyo and extensive travelling experience in South America to the full. A cuisine that recreates the latest trends in Japanese gastronomy, combining them with an extensive menu of innovative dishes and bold cocktails.

Besides the characteristic classics such as yellowtail sashimi with Jalapeno and black cod with miso, the Nobu restaurant also serves utterly original dishes that reflect Barcelona’s eternal creativity and vitality.

The food at the Nobu restaurant merges perfectly with the venue’s decor, featuring an avant-garde design with Japanese minimalism, resulting in a truly laid-back and luxurious site where diners feel totally at home.

Wonderful day with incredible views at Alàbriga Sea Club

I was in the mood for a paella, nice views and chic ambiance, the perfect place is Alàbriga Sea Club. From my private booth I can enjoy the view of three shades of blue: pool, sea and sky! Its breathtaking!

Before the paella, I recommend to share some starters all of which are yummy.

The food is nice, the waiters are kind but the best is that you can spend all day at the pool, with private sun loungers, cocktails and good music! And of course the fantastic views!
